A cannabis plant that bears female as well as male flowers. Hermaphrodites may occur naturally or be caused by adverse conditions during growth.

An abbreviation of "hermaphrodite", often used by cannabis growers. E.g. "Oh man, I found a hermie in the middle of my females today!" Also, a verb which indicates the transformation of a female plant to a hermaphrodite: "What can cause a plant to hermie?"

Also called hybrid vigour. The phenomenon in which the crossing of two inbred, stable plants results in improvements or favourable characteristics in the offspring.
