Autopot grow/First Grow not Nirvana Genetics Solved

by stick about January 11 - report

In the past I boldly told people to mix a cap full of Hydrogen peroxide in 8 0z. water as a wetting solution using Rapid-Rooters to sprout seeds based on my 99% germ rate. But after using the same on seeds that didn't come from Nirvana out of 10 only 5 sprouted. 5 of the five that didn't sprout were found to be black inside (rotten). I don't know if they were old seeds, bad genetics or what. Of the 5 that sprouted 3 seem to be growing way slower than the other two under the exact same environment. Runts.  Time will tell. I'll be going back to Nirvana after this grow. Photos in the future. Life is hectic right now.

I am sorry you had to go through that Stick. I have purchased seeds from many seed banks, but i have found Nirvana to be the best out of all of them. I have had issues with Nirvana seeds myself, but they always made it good. I know most people can say this, so if you do get some bad seeds you can just about depend on Nirvana to take care of it. Peace

Seedsman is taking care of it.Not much help this grow. What you grow is only as good as the genetics..

Sorry to hear sticks, I am very thankful for nirvanas genetics they are solid, I recently looked at another company and was shocked at the prices Nirvana was a lot cheaper, I don't see myself going anywhere else anytime soon. I will be starting my 3rd grow from Nirvana. I have grown Raspberry Cough, Original Glue, this next grow I'm going for 4 Jock Horror, and 4 Aurora Indica. Can't wait, I hope the ones that did pop for you surprise you with good quality and a high yield.

Im growing jock horror right now, very light sensitive, could only use the veg switch on my platinum p300 until they started flower (30 fays in)..but that's ok. 95 watts for entire veg saves money. Plants ars huge for auto's one is 28" tall the other...  more

I love Nirvana's quality beans but just like anything else, there is other strains I would like to try. It will take me a long time to try every strain Nirvana has in their arsonal right now anyway. By that time they will have added lots of new strains to there selections, I imagine. They have been adding a few new strains every year since I have been buying from them.

What up Sticker...those seeds were bad from the get go ! If the company you bought them from won't replace "no questions asked," find a different seed company. Most all companies will no prob. Peace out

Seedsman and yes they are replacing them but that does nothing for this grow.

Nirvana is the breeder and that makes a big difference. Nirvana stands behind their seeds...usually seedbanks will give you a little credit so you can buy more bad seeds. Overall, nirvana is unbeatable.

if you split the seed open and it was black inside it surely wasnt your fault. I know when i screwed a seedling or when i got a dud. stil i know how you feel.  I will be germinating soon and i fooking cringe. This time, however i am only going to germ one seed then take 4 clones off that and veg.

Seeds that are black on the inside sounds like bud rot to me...i've only been growing awhile ( on my third grow) so im just guessing on that, but i would most definitely call that company and request replacement....nervanna has good prices and genetics...im impressed with them.

Seedsman grown genetics, or another breeder from them? I don't mean to be a pest...But it is SOOO important to stop buying genetics from disreputable breeders. I am sorry you are going through this!!
